Hong Kong has a unique history as it was ruled by the British for 155 years before it was given back to China. By taking a local saying, literally translated as "Once Gone Never Returns," and using local materials to create Chinese Lantern Characters, we were able to visually illustrate the true meaning of the political state in Hong Kong.
